The Project
A week with Sunshine Gospel Ministries is not your typical missions trip.
This urban experience is a week to listen. You will spend a great deal of time hearing stories from real people — some are in the scriptures, some are through video, and some are sitting on the side of the street or on an old park bench. Most of them are urban poor.
It is a week to learn. You will learn how God thinks of the poor. You will consider how this relates to all Christians. Together we will reflect on how we can learn from the poor, what part of the body of Christ they supply, and how to love "the least of these."
The week is also about serving. You will experience a variety of practical service opportunities among the urban poor as examples of what you might take home to your church and community. You will minister the gospel in word and deed to Chicago’s most needy and neglected communities.

The Schedule
The week consists of three areas: Bible study/lecture/discussion, Exposure to urban ministries in Chicago and opportunities to go out and talk with people and share your faith, either through service or hitting the streets.
